Curtis Wellborn is the founder of Wellborn Industries, Inc. Curtis grew up in the wood business.
He is the son of Doug Wellborn who was one of the founders of Wellborn Cabinet, Inc. and Wellborn Forest Products, Inc. Curtis
worked at both companies in many different capacities.
In 1996, following the death of his father,
Curtis began Wellborn Industries, Inc. with his wife Stacy. He began by running wood component parts and building fine kitchen
and bath cabinets. Shortly thereafter the company expanded into the lumber industry after adding a saw mill. From there it
was a short step to manufacturing fine wood flooring of several species.
In 2005 the company expanded again
into the timber mat business by adding two new sawmills. Both of the Wellborn sons, Jay and Jarod, have since joined the company. Our
focus is to continue to offer our customers the finest wood products, while treating them like family.
