The reclaimed wood used to build
our products tells a century’s old story. Much of our wood began its life centuries ago in millions
of acres of longleaf pine forest which covered the Southeastern United States. Some of these majestic trees were up to 500
years in age and over one hundred feet tall. These trees came to be known as Heart Pine and their wood
became the choice material for commercial buildings, factories and homes. Today this extraordinary wood is only available
by reclaiming the lumber from antique structures. The wood’s slow growth rings produced a tight,
beautiful grain which does not exist in new wood. The reclaimed wood also has character marks which define
its history and add to the overall richness of the wood. The warm patina, dense grain pattern, and antique
character marks make this wood a desirable product for furniture, accessories, flooring, cabinets and other wood products.
